Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme 2024 – 2025 Academic Year Pre-Departure Seminars Held

We gathered with the successful new scholars who excelled in the written exam of the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme for the 2024-2025 academic year at the “Pre-Departure Seminars” held on June 11, 2024 in Ankara and June 13, 2024 in Istanbul.

The seminar in Ankara was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs, and the one in Istanbul was hosted by the Economic Development Foundation (İKV), with approximately 150 scholars in attendance. The seminars were attended by the representatives from the Directorate for EU Affairs as the beneficiary of the programme, the Central Finance and Contracts Unit as the contracting authority, and the EU Delegation to Türkiye.

In Ankara, opening remarks were delivered by Serdar Öztürk, Deputy Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation; Saygın Tozlu, Senior Contract Manager at the Central Finance and Contracts Unit; and Esther Bouma, Deputy Head of the Human and Social Development Section of the EU Delegation to Türkiye.

At the seminars, scholars received detailed information on program approval procedures, contract processes, and the responsibilities they would undertake under the scholarship programme. Experienced alumni of the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme also shared their insights, guiding the new scholars.

We congratulate all our scholars who succeeded in the written examination for the 2024-2025 academic year once again and wish them success in this significant step for their careers and personal development.
